Crime fiction from those who know.

M.E. BROWNING

M.E. Browning served twenty-two years in law enforcement and retired as a captain before turning to a life of crime fiction. She is the author of Shadow Ridge,  A Jo Wyatt Mystery and the Agatha-nominated and award-winning Mer Cavallo Mysteries (as Micki Browning). An FBI National Academy graduate, Micki worked in municipal law enforcement and served as a hostage negotiator, trained as a SWAT administrator, managed the administrative division, and coordinated the Citizens Police Academy—where she met a quiet student by the name of Sue Grafton.

Micki also writes short stories and nonfiction. Her work has appeared in dive magazines, anthologies, mystery magazines, and textbooks. She is a professional divemaster and owns a vast array of scuba equipment she uses for “research.” She is a member of Sisters in Crime, International Thriller Writers, and Mystery Writers of America.
